I’m only posting this information because I’m pretty sure we’re going to draw a fan base with our crazy antics and I want you to be able to easily locate us so that you can bring beer and cheer us on. We’ll be the team. . . well, you’ll know who we are. Let’s just put it that way.
TEAM RAMROD

Theme Song: Insane In The Membrane, Cypress Hill
Team Colors: Sand & Red
Team Captain/Boss Bitch: Yours Truly
Practice & T-shirt pick up
Tuesday, September 5
I wonder if this is a taste of what’s to come? Practice has been effectively rained out, which means instead of practicing, we’ll be drinking. Why do I see a recurring theme beginning here?
Game 1 vs. COLTS
Thursday, September 7
6:30pm
Southeast Metro Park
RAMROD 11-1
Not even a contest. We kicked ass. Collectively drank approximately 48 beers. Made 43 inappropriate comments in the presence of the official, who eventually refused to speak with me even when I had a valid kickball question. Showed the league what’s up. We are Team Ramrod. Don’t you forget it.
Game 1 Soundtrack:
Eye of the Tiger
Insane in the Membrane
Thunderstruck
Who Let the Dogs Out
Save A Horse
Centerfield
Welcome to the Jungle
Cold Hard Bitch
Bringing Sexy Back
Hang On Sloopy
Sweet Caroline
Another One Bites the Dust
We Are the Champions
Jump (Kris Kross)
Ice, Ice Baby
If you have brilliant kickball soundtrack thoughts, please send them!
Game 2 vs. Baumerz (aka ASSHOLES)
Thursday, September 14, 2006
8:30pm
Southeast Metro Park
BAUMERZ 11-2
Let’s just not even talk about it. That team was insanely assholish. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t punch any of them.
We’ll be hanging around 2 hours past our game time to boo at them at their next game. So, there, Baumerz. That’ll show ‘em.
*blink, blink*
At least we have a team handshake. Priorities, people. Priorities.

Game 3 vs. The Jerks
Thursday, September 21, 2006
6:30pm
Richard Moya Park
The Jerks 11-0
This was a pretty bad loss, but we had way more fun than the week before, so at least that’s something.
This is the game that made us realize we actually really, really, really suck at kickball and we should perhaps practice.
We did, in fact, stay around until 9:30pm to heckle the Baumerz while they played. Some might consider us immature for doing so. I consider us HILARIOUS. Especially because I’m pretty sure their pitcher (i.e. the biggest asshole ever) almost cried. Go Team Ramrod!
Practice
Sunday, September 24, 5pm
Half of our team showed up. We made some progress, changed up our field positions and batting order.
Game 4 vs. CC Evil Empire
Thursday, September 28, 2006
8:30pm
Richard Moya Park
CC Evil Empire 6-3
We played remarkably better this game. We still didn’t win, but we didn’t let them kill us, either. This is the first game I pitched, and that seems to work out better. . . or at the very least, it makes it easier for Bob and I to be exceptionally obnoxious together.
This game was a little unfair in that the umpire’s girlfriend was on the opposing team. *raised eyebrow* He did a pretty good job, but it was a little touchy there for a second when he hesitated to call a strike and she questioned him when he finally did. I thought I was going to have to storm the plate. But, he came to his senses and called it correctly.
This was also the first game that I drank for. Talk about massive improvement. Jeez.
Here’s Bob & I with the opposing team. . . and a happy team photo of Team Ramrod!
And, here’s where Bob & I enjoy happy hour with all of the boys after the game.

Crap. I need to finish this page with the remaining games so I can stop worrying about it. . . *scribbles a frantic to-do note*
